It was understood by the ancients in centuries past that a solar eclipse meant impending judgment was looming on the horizon. Sadly, our generation has been conditioned to look on such events as nothing more than a form of entertainment and pleasure.
The fact that the upcoming eclipse will be seen in the U.S. is highly significant. It will conclude a prophetic seven year cycle that began with the solar eclipse of Monday, August 21st, 2017.
The truth is that from this point onward, the man made kingdoms and empires of this world will falter. We are already watching this occur before our very eyes. The solar eclipse of April 8th, 2024 is a celestial signpost that judgment on this nation is inevitable. It is worth noting that solar eclipse pertain to the gentile nations while lunar eclipse pertain specifically to Israel and the Jewish people.
The original intent behind the creation of the luminaries is found in Genesis 1:14;
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.
As believers and followers of Christ, we should realize that this world is not our home.
In closing, consider the words of Jesus in Luke 21:28:
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
